Cutting Vinyl Race Car Decals

I usually use my Cricut for scrapbooking, but for the past few days, I've been cutting out vinyl numbers and letters for my second cousins who will be racing at Delaware Speedway this summer.  They are racing the mini cars and needed some vinyl decals such as their numbers and names, so I offered to cut them on my Cricut.  This is the first time I've cut vinyl!  It is actually very easy to do!  I had the blade depth set at 4, the speed on low and the pressure set to medium.  The cuts came out perfect!
This is also the first time that I've tried using a 12x24 mat!  It took me a minute to figure out how to cut out larger numbers.  I had to change the settings to 'portrait' and I cut these numbers (the large ones for the top of the car) at 17" and 18".  For these numbers, I used the Alphalicious cartridge and the 'short stack' function.
It's amazing how versatile this machine is!

  1. Custom decals and stickers are a way to express yourself, showing what kind of person you are. It’s a sort of identity …
