Pot of Gold

I just received the most amazing 'Pot of Gold' from my Not-So-Secret-Sister, Chantal. For our June package, we were to create a 'Pot of Gold' as this is our last month of the swap. Chantal created a gorgeous decorated box and filled it to the brim with scrapbooking supplies! Not only was the box full, but there were lots more items that she included with the package. I received some beautiful handmade cards, Cuttlebug dies (including a very cute Cinderella card set), stamps (including the Stampin' Up Tart & Tangy set that was on my wish list!), tons of flowers, stickles, adhesives, Creative Memories kits, a K&Co designer paper pack, Stampin' Up cardstock and cards, and a lot more goodies!! I feel so spoiled! It was so great to have Chantal as a partner in this swap! Chantal, I hope you enjoy your 'Pot of Gold' as much as I am enjoying mine!! Thanks for everything!

Awesome Garage Sale Finds

I went to a customer garage sale at the LSS yesterday and came home with some great bargains!  Here are all the goodies I picked up.  Some of the best deals were Stampin' Up stamp sets for $5 and a pink Quickutz hand tool plus the whole Moxie alphabet (never opened) for $35!!  Even though I use mostly the Cricut now for die cutting, I figured this could be handy if I'm hosting crops.

May NSSS Package

I received an awesome May NSSS package from my partner, Chantal (aka RyansMom from the Cricut mb).  One of the challenges was so create a layout using your partner's photos, so I sent Chantal some photos of Paige to create a layout with.  I just love the 'Princess Paige' layout that Chantal came up with!  The altered book, Father's Day card, recipe layouts and treat packages are so nice too!  Thanks for everything Chantal!

My First Blog Award!!

Thank you so much to Ms Dee for my first blog award!  Dee was so kind to give me a "Kreativ Blogger" award!  Thanks Dee for all of your nice comments!  Be sure to check out Ms Dee's blog, "Dee's Special Things".........  Dee is such a talented scrapbooker and card maker and I love to check out her beautiful creations.  Her designs are so gorgeous!  Thanks again Ms Dee!!

My All-Day Crop Creations

Last Saturday, I attended my first all-day crop, which my neighbour, a Creative Memories consultant, hosted.  It was awesome!  I had never done so much scrapbooking in one day!  I will definitely be attending more!  I completed 18 layouts plus an altered composition book.  The only problem was that I didn't bring enough photos to scrap!  I never though I would get so much done, so I just wasn't prepared enough and I ended up making a lot of pages that I will have to add the photos to later.

I must say, I really like Creative Memories products a lot more than I did in the past.  The patterned papers they have no are so nice!  I picked up a couple paper packs, the curvy paper cutter, some cute paper flowers, and I pre-ordered a really nice flower punch.

Here are some of the layouts I created at the crop.

Ready to Scrap!!

My new scrap room is finally ready!!  Well... there are still a few finishing touches that need to be done like the trim around the window, baseboards, and some paint touch ups, but it is finally ready to use!  I am going to be scrapping in my new room for the first time this morning!  I don't have all of my supplies moved in yet, but of course my Cricut is in there already.  I will post more pics once I have everything organized, but here are a few for now...

Lots of storage!

The upper cabinets are now installed!  There is going to be a ton of storage in this room!  I don't think I have enough scrapbooking products to fill up all the cabinets, so I may just have to go shopping for more!!  Ha ha!

I also put a second coat of paint on most of the walls, but I ran out!  I can't believe I used a gallon of paint and still need more!  I plan on getting the rest of the painting done this weekend.

Yesterday, we ordered the counter top for the island (see picture of sample) but it will take 2-3 weeks to come in.  I guess we should have put the order in a little earlier.  I will have the same countertop throughout the scrap room.  I also picked the hardware for the cabinets and drawers.

So, things are coming a long but it will still be 2-3 weeks I guess until the room is complete.
